What is ACE Rockwall?

ACE Rockwall is a homeschool co-op that aims to empower Christian homeschool families through educational enrichment, fellowship and community in the greater Rockwall area. We meet weekly on Fridays at Cornerstone Rockwall church from 9am-3pm.

Is my family a good fit for ACE Rockwall?

ACE Rockwall families should be actively walking in the Christian faith, looking to supplement their student's educational experience and be willing to abide by the family agreement and school rules.

What commitment is required from families for this type of co-op?

All families are asked to contribute to the running of the co-op each week. Some parents act as the hall monitor, class helper, or front desk check-in person while their student is in class. Others help with setting up in the morning or cleaning up in the afternoon. If you absolutely cannot contribute time, there is an option to buy out instead.

For students 7th grade and up, parents are only required to be on campus to fulfill their service hour. Students 6th grade and younger must be supervised by their parent or parent-designated adult while not in class.

How long is the school year?

We function on a 30-week school year schedule beginning in late August. Check the calendar for more information.

Who teaches the classes?

ACE Rockwall provides classes taught by vetted Christian teachers. All teachers and substitute teachers pass a criminal background check.

Do these classes count for high school credit for grades 9-12?

Yes! Our teachers design their high school classes to be academically rigorous enough for students to earn a full-year credit. There may be some one-semester classes that count as 1/2 credit -- you can read more about them in the class descriptions. The middle school classes will also cover a full year of content in that academic subject but will not generally include enough work to count for a high school credit.

How much does it cost to participate?

There is a $225 annual family fee to join the co-op. After that, the tuition is set by the teachers but generally varies from $40-75 per month per class, depending upon the length of the class. There is also a supply fee, which varies by class.

When can new families join the co-op?

Applications for new families can be submitted during specific windows in the spring and again in the summer. For more specific information, please visit the calendar for details.
